![]() In the beta most weapons were weak besides the xbow which was absurdly broken with multi hit and propagation stacking, and the shortbow which had spammable AoE that hit way harder than it should. If you ask me weapons are far better balanced than they were in beta, each build has multiple compatible weapons now and many builds are viable. It does 1d6 damage from piercing and is Light, Loading, and Ranged. ![]() You can make almost any build wreck house if you invest a ton into it, not just the hand xbow with multi hit anymore. In D&D 5e, the hand crossbow is a melee and long weapon. If you're critting for 2500 then you invested a ton into a crit isolation build. There are still clearly better weapons that you will look for each run and determine if you win or lose. In general weapon balance in this game is still pretty bad. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. If you can stack multihit which is a rare stat to find on gear or through level ups already it could be powerful but that is so dependent. Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Light, Loading, Range. Proficiency with a hand crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. You can take down the Lakeburg boss with one hero using one, no problem.ĭid the same thing with a basic longbow+4 criting it for 2500. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Originally posted by Terran:Hand crossbow is still crazy strong.
